All of the staff are such hard workers and yet keep smiling. Salvador went out of his way to make me special drinks daily and would greet me with the biggest smile. Martin, Bruno, and my favorite Salvador made us laugh and feel so special daily. The staff are the best around, we have traveled many places and have to say this was the best staff we have encountered. Personally i don't travel all the way to Mexico for the bacon, most of us don't need it anyways!! The coffee was GREAT and they served this amazing juice, called the "Green Juice" which was the best. Bacon is at the Omelet bar and you just had to ask for it. All food was wonderful and we have no complaints at all. I hear complaints about how poor the buffet was, then again go book at the Hyatt and pay for it. You booked that day for either a 6:30 or 8:30 seating.

If you wanted the full meal you could head to the main dining room for more selections.The al a carts (2 of them) Italian and Mexican were wonderful. The beach restaurant was good, offering simple food, we were satisfied and happy to have a quick snack mid day. All the bars served wonderful drinks and the bartenders were always smiling and laughing and offering to make that special drink for you. The beach is FABULOUS, chairs, volleyball court and palapas are offered and always available at any time of the day. The pool area is fabulous and clean, many chairs are offered and they were never full, we never once got up early having to save that chair for the day. The grounds are gorgeous and well taken care of. A bell man took our bags and showed us our room, he smiled and mentioned if we needed anything to call the front desk and we would be taken care of. No long line up and we were checked in within minutes. The front desk is in the main lobby and very small, yet we were greeted with smiles. When the bus pulled up to the front we were surprised how small things were. This is one of the smallest resorts we have been too.
We read the reviews and all looked good, we are very easy travelers so we do not have unrealistic expectations to ruin the vacation, We also like to blend in with the locals and enjoy what other countries have to offer. My husband and i booked a last minuted trip to the Samba Vallarta, Jan 25 - Feb 1st, 2015. If you want a party atmosphere, this is not the place. Walking on the path is faster than the beach.įor a relaxing holiday, especially for a group including children, Samba is wonderful. For lunch we ate at the beach bar (limited menu good burgers). The food was good and there were many choices on the buffet. There's a gift shop with sunscreen, bottled water, souvenirs etc. Four days a week there are guided bike tours. Samba has around 15 bikes that guests can borrow. The fire show and the magician were excellent. The music at the pool was pleasant and never too loud. Shout out to the servers and bartenders who took great care of us: Augustin, Martin, Salvador, Gabriel x 2, Saul, Benefice, Bruno and the omelette lady! Jose and Jimmy (activities team) were so cheerful and fun. Boogie boards can be signed out at the activities kiosk. No need to get up early to save spots, except for the daybeds (no charge) by the pool. We could always find loungers at the pool, and the beach has many palapas. The pool has several very shallow areas and play structures ideal for young children. Samba is a smaller resort which made it easy for our group to find each other.
Upon our arrival, we were greeted by bellmen saying, "Welcome home!" We were made to feel at home throughout our stay. Our family stayed at Samba Vallarta over Christmas.
